Rivers Health is seeking a full-time LPN to perform nursing services on our Med/Surg Unit. Works under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse rendering nursing care including medications and treatments to patients in a timely manner. Job Relationships Responsible to: Unit Coordinator/Clinical Manager/Registered Nurse Nature of supervision received: Direct Positions directly supervised: Nursing Assistants Essential Job Functions Provides direct patient care. Administers medications (PO, IM, IV PB) in a safe and timely manner; accurately documents medication administration. Safeguards medications and narcotics. Starts and assists with the maintenance of IV lines. Accurate documentation of care. Assists with patient education in collaboration with other disciplines. Assists with unit cleanliness. Assists with admission and discharge assessments. Respects patient privacy, rights, and individual values; provides care accordingly. Provides care to a given group of patients according to the care plan provided by the Registered Nurse; works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Reports observations and pertinent information to Registered Nurse. Works closely and harmoniously with Registered Nurse. Assists in orienting new employees. Administers nursing care in a safe and timely manner according to hospital policies, procedures, and philosophy. Completes all annual competencies. Performs other duties that may be assigned. Complies with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies, and the Personnel Employee Handbook. Cross‑train to other units as needed. Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration; attends unit meetings. Participates in quality improvement activities, including serving on quality improvement teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
