Overview
We are seeking skilled Diesel/Auto, Mechanics for shop/dealership in the East Texas area. If you have a passion for vehicles/equipment and a knack for troubleshooting, this is the perfect opportunity for you! In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel and automotive vehicles/equipment. We value teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to quality service, and we’re excited to welcome a new member to our family.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in diesel and automotive vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and solutions.
- Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a diesel or auto mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, automotive systems, and repair techniques.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- ASE certification is preferred but not required.
- Must have own tools
