CNC Operator

The CNC Operatoris responsible forsetting up and operatingCNClathes to produce high-quality parts according to blueprints and specifications. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability tomaintainaccuracy and consistency throughout the machining process. Key Responsibilities: OperateOkuma CNClathes to machine parts to required dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings,and work orders todeterminemachining instructions. Select, install, and align proper tooling and fixtures. Measure and inspect finished workpieces using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools. Make necessary adjustments tomaintainquality standards. Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area. Follow all safety guidelines andmaintaina safe working environment. Communicate any issues or irregularities to the supervisor promptly. Qualifications: High schooldiploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experienceoperatinga manual lathe preferred. Strong understanding of machining principles,feeds, speeds, and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring instruments accurately. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods andlift upto 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationrequiredfor precise machining work. Tolerance for moderate noise and shop environmentconditions. Qualifications Education Preferred High School or better.
