Traveling Medical Assistant (Full-time)

Location: Various HVMG Physician Offices, Convenient Care, HV Pediatrics
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, varying daylight hours. Convenient Care may require weekends and/or holidays.

Rooms patients, collects vital signs, review patient medication list and patient medical/social history, collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests, administers injections and medications as directed by provider in addition to other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Medical Assistant certification (e.g., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
• Current CPR certification
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to clinical practice
• Minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience in a primary care physician office setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in varying office settings with minimal notice
• Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

PREFERRED

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
• Pediatrics experience strongly preferred
