About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Nursing License: Active New York Single State RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required, PALS and TNCC preferred Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required Experience with IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care Ability to manage ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a busy Emergency Room. The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult and geriatric patients. A strong background in emergency care is essential, including experience with trauma and stroke cases. Nurses will need to provide emergency interventions for various conditions, including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma. Ratios in the ER are expected to be 1:5. Nurses will need to float within their skill set when required. Special equipment available includes Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment. All nursing staff are expected to maintain high clinical standards and adhere to isolation precautions. Holiday and weekend shifts will be required every other holiday and every other weekend. Candidates must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias as well as conduct triage effectively.
