Nurse Manager Behavioral Health Unit - $25,000 Sign On Bonus

Job Summary Full-time (80 hours per pay) Dayshift position eligible for a sign‑on bonus: 25% at 6 months, 25% at 12 months, 25% at 18 months, and 25% at 24 months of employment. Assists the Director in supervising and directing nursing care and all related activities of the service. Maintains the environment of care and all applicable standards and policies, including AMC policies, OSHA, ODH, JCAHO, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (ODBH), and other accrediting bodies. Utilizes principles of the nursing process to provide patient care, builds and develops the patient care team through staff staffing, physician assistance, material and equipment management, education of personnel, and administrative duties. Serves as chief retention and recruitment leader of the unit and is accountable to the organization to understand and support the hospital's mission, vision, and values. Education Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school. Preferred educational qualifications: None. Licensure/Certification/Registration Valid Nursing License in the State of Ohio. Current CPR certification at time of hire. Certification in area of specialty/expertise preferred. AVADE certification required within the first 90 days. Experience Minimum 3–5 years of job‑related experience. Prior job title or occupational experience: See below. Preferred: Minimum four years hospital experience in a pertinent clinical specialty (inpatient or outpatient behavioral health only) and 2–3 years in a leadership/management/charge role. Other experience requirements: N/A. Knowledge/Skills Continuing education in leadership, evidenced by attending leadership and management topics. Excellent clinical, time management, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills. Proven skill in leadership, care management, and performance improvement.
