Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: 1 Year Med Surg Experience Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds - 36 Staffing: Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs Patient Ratios: 1:5, flexible to 6 Equipment: Telemetry EMR: Meditech Typical Hiring Profile: Skill Set Most Recruited For: Must have 1 year Med Surg experience. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Preferred or Nice to Have: Orthopedic and/or Trauma patient experience. Common Diagnoses and Procedures Performed on Unit: Polytrauma patients, non-surgical cervical fractures, cleared by spine, orthopedic, trauma with downgraded TBI, no more than 3 drains, burn downgrades. Heparin and Protonix drips. Best Personality Fit: Team player. Floating Areas: All Med Surg Units. Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Royal Blue. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Be on the unit by 0645/1845 for huddle. Tardy per hospital policy by 0653/1853. Weekend Commitment: 4 weekend shifts required. General Comments: Number of Positions: 1.
