Media Planning Team Our media planning team is at the heart of designing and delivering state‑of‑the‑art media planning solutions that power Netflix’s advertising business. We are developing innovative, in‑house ad tech systems that enable advertisers and internal partners to efficiently plan, allocate, and optimize media investments across Netflix’s platform. Our technology translates advertiser objectives into actionable media plans, ensuring seamless integration, automation, optimization, compliance, and management of media strategies at scale. We work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust media planning capabilities that serve our advertisers, members, and Netflix’s broader business goals. Core Focus Areas Building applications and APIs that support every stage of the media planning process, from initial plan creation and inventory allocation through to campaign activation and completion. Delivering transparency on media plan performance and providing users with actionable insights to optimize their planning strategies. Partnering with stakeholders across the Ads Platform (Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Design) to develop scalable, impactful media planning solutions that drive business value. Responsibilities Our media planning team’s core focus areas include building systems that support the media planning workflow, delivering transparency on performance, and partnering across the Ads Platform to develop scalable solutions. Skills & Experience Experience in building first‑party tools, APIs and services that leverage data and real‑time insights to support media planning workflows. Understanding of how media planning workflow works with other parts of an ads platform like pre‑sales to delivery for a holistic view of the business. Familiarity with RFPs and pre‑sales processes through to campaign activation. Familiarity with AHC (agency‑holding companies) planning tools, and various forms of media planning support enabled through integrations. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills. Experience with building modern backend and frontend applications on cloud/AWS using Java, Spring Boot, React, GraphQL, Node.js or equivalent technologies. Experience with distributed systems and microservices, NoSQL databases, queues like Apache Kafka and a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Nice to Haves Contributed to an ads industry technology standard (e.g. VAST, OpenRTB) or worked on an industry consortium effort, working group, etc. Familiarity with legal compliance and changing landscape of ads regulations around the world. Experience working in the CTV space and knowledge of its unique constraints. Working knowledge of AI/ML/genAI techniques and an ability to apply them to sales processes such as channel, product, targeting, budget recommendations. Compensation and Benefits Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top‑of‑market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $388,000.00 - $558,000.00. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family‑forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits.
