• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to accurately evaluate clients’ substance abuse history as well as mental health status, ensuring significant and supportive interventions.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that target addiction symptoms while considering clients’ overall mental well-being.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions rooted in evidence-based practices to promote recovery and healing.
\n
• Work closely with the treatment team—including psychologists, social workers, and healthcare providers—to coordinate integrated care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Educate family members about the recovery process, encouraging their involvement as a key part of the support system.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements, facilitating quality assurance and continual improvement in therapeutic practices.

Our clients are those grappling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will play a vital role in addressing the multifaceted challenges these individuals face, empowering them to achieve recovery through comprehensive mental health support and advocacy.

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; your education forms the foundation for your clinical expertise.

• Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling, displaying an understanding of the complexities surrounding substance use disorders.

• A strong grasp of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment and co-occurring disorders, ensuring the provision of best practice care.

• Exemplary therapeutic and counseling skills, coupled with the ability to motivate and support clients effectively.

• Excellent communication abilities, facilitating strong relationships within the treatment team and with clients’ families.

While the minimum educational qualifications are crucial, candidates with prior experience in outpatient settings or substance abuse treatment have a competitive edge. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also beneficial as it enhances workflow efficiency and documentation accuracy.
