HTF Staffing is hiring 2 Special Education Teachers for a high school in Keokuk, Iowa , for the 2026–2027 school year . This is an excellent opportunity to work with 9th-grade students in a supportive school environment.

 

Position Details:

• Openings: 2
• Position: Special Education Teacher
• Location: Keokuk, IA 52632
• Student Population: High School (9th Grade)
• Caseload: Approximately 15–17 students
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Working Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Start Date: August 12, 2026
• End Date: May 28, 2027

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to high school students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress.
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.

 

Qualifications:

• Active Iowa Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Previous school-based Special Education experience preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
