Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a top-tier New Jersey school system. This is an excellent contract opportunity for experienced educators passionate about making a positive impact in an elementary K-2 classroom for students with multiple disabilities. You’ll enjoy the stability of a W2 contract, the support of an engaged agency, and the experience of working within a highly respected, collaborative district.
Schedule runs ASAP through June 24, 2027, with consistent hours from 8:20 AM to 2:55 PM and a 30-minute unpaid lunch—totaling approximately 30 hours per week. Travel professionals are encouraged to apply, as generous travel stipends are available.
Key qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Special Education Teacher certification
- Proven experience or strong interest working with K-2 students with multiple disabilities
- Knowledge of IEP implementation, differentiating instruction, and positive behavior support strategies
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with colleagues and families
- Ability to foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
Role responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate unique learning styles
- Partner closely with classroom aides, therapists, and fellow educators to support student growth
- Track progress, collect data, and participate in regular team meetings and IEP reviews
- Communicate consistently with families and staff to maintain a cohesive support network
