Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician based in our Ranson Factory. This position will work Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm Pay Rate: $40/hour + As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at ROCKWOOL you will be responsible for maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of the latest electrical equipment. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you have a keen eye to identify potential problems in electrical design and will work as part of a dynamic team of industrial electricians and electrical engineers collectively focused on continuous improvement and operational uptime. What you bring: 2-year degree or equivalent certification or work experience required. 2-3 years’ practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and with automated equipment required. Proficient knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers(PLC)/Automation, Siemens preferred. Grow and develop the team by sharing knowledge/experience. What you will be doing: Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using skills to troubleshoot with communication software. Perform Maintenance and Electrical tasks including but not limited to the following: Calibrating, monitoring, repairing and maintaining transmitters, controllers, plant safety systems, power systems and sensors. Maintain equipment by way of planned preventive maintenance programs, keeping maintenance records per company policies as well as advanced troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment during shift. Provide electrical and instrumentation support to the functional area to ensure production can continue in a safe and effective manner. Install, calibrate, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical instrumentation, equipment and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. Install, visually examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, transformers, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
