Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse position available in a critical access facility in Southeast Alaska. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within a Level IV Trauma Center, with a focus on critical care interventions and patient management. The assignment is designed for experienced nurses who can adapt to a diverse and isolated healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU RN needed to start on 11/16/2026, with orientation scheduled for 11/16, 11/30, and 12/14. The shift is rotating, with 3x12 hour variable shifts, potentially involving days, evenings, or nights depending on unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; Alaska Registered Nurse license (pending review if applicable); 2 years of ICU experience; ability to work a rotating schedule with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 3x12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role includes float to medical-surgical and long-term care units as needed. The facility serves as a regional referral center supporting isolated islands, with a high volume of emergent cases and tourist-related patient influx during peak seasons. Orientation includes a unit-based critical care competency checkoff during the first shift.
• Submission Requirements: Must include proof of Washington state license application; two references from the past two years, one of which is from a supervisor; certifications based on unit description; confirmation of vaccination and Epic experience if applicable; and acknowledgment of possible delayed start due to licensure processing.
