Wheat Ridge Aftercare Supervisor

We are hiring an Aftercare Supervisor for the Wheat Ridge Basecamp Program to provide on‑site management, mentorship, and instruction to our campers after the camp day ends. Seasoned childcare professionals are trusted to care for our campers during pick‑up hours and ensure their wellness after a long day of programs. Location Wheat Ridge, Colorado - Peak Expeditionary School In this role you will Supervise campers by providing age‑appropriate after‑camp activities while maintaining a safety‑oriented environment. Organize and participate in camp programming, ranging from games to arts & crafts. Purchase weekly aftercare program supplies and snacks (budget provided based on camp size). Educate campers on safety protocols to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Communicate directly with parents when they arrive for pick‑up. Your Background Must be at least 20 years old by the start of camp. Must have a minimum of 460 verifiable hours of childcare experience to meet our Child Care Licensing requirements. 1+ years of experience working in an Aftercare Program or at a Summer Camp is preferred. Minimum of Basic First Aid, CPR, and Mandatory Reporter certification by the start of camp. Important Details Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Aftercare runs from 2:30 – 5:30/6:00 pm. Supervisors work from 2:30 pm until the last camper is picked up. Aftercare Supervisors are encouraged to take full staff training; required for those looking to substitute during regular programming. Opportunity for additional hours supporting set‑up and breakdown of equipment plus subbing during the day. Position Duration: Complete virtual training and in‑person shadowing. Program runs June 1 – July 31, with June 29 – July 3 off. Compensation: Pay range starts at $19.80 per hour.
