Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist for a company based in Fairfield, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your machining expertise in a hands-on manufacturing environment where quality craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail are valued. Pay Rate

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Manual Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and other conventional machining equipment safely and efficiently.
• Manufacture, repair, and modify mechanical components according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining documentation.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure compliance with required tolerances.
• Set up machinery, select appropriate tooling, and perform machining operations to produce quality parts.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and machine adjustments as needed.0

Manual Machinist Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous manual machining experience required.
• Proficiency operating manual lathes, milling machines, and related shop equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Knowledge of machining techniques, shop mathematics, and precision measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and established operating procedures.
