Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Experience circulating and performing orthopedic, general surgery, and vascular surgery Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 7 Number of Staff: 2 Full-Time RNs, 1 Part-Time RN, 1 PRN RN, 4 Full-Time Scrub Techs, 3 Full-Time Orderlies, 1 Full-Time Scheduler, 1 Operating Room Director, 1 Equipment Tech Type of Staff: Day Shift: 3 RNs (2 Full-Time and supplemented with PRN and Part-Time) 4 Full-Time Scrub Techs 3 Full-Time Orderlies 1 Full-Time Scheduler 1 Operating Room Director 1 Equipment Tech Night Shift: Call Only Patient Ratios: 1 RN + 1 OR Tech / Room Type of Equipment: Mako for orthopedic cases Documentation System: Meditech Call Requirements: 1 week of call. Will be put on rotation with other nurses. Typical Procedures Performed: Orthopedics (total joints, shoulder/knee scopes, fractures) Podiatry General Surgery (i.e., laparoscopic, open) AV fistula creation Hand surgeries Additional Preferences: Easily adaptable to fast-paced unit Displays a strong commitment to teamwork Ability to function well independently Takes initiative and anticipates the next case/need Dress Code: Scrub color navy blue (provided by the facility) Awards/Recognition: DAISY & BEE awards Excellence points given regularly to recognize colleagues going above and beyond Quarterly birthday celebrations with leadership
