Line CookLegends GlobalFood & BeverageMohegan Arena @ Casey PlazaReports To: Executive ChefFLSA: Part-Time Hourly/Non-ExemptPosition Summary:This position is responsible for preparing food items for all suite orders, catering functions, and possibly some concession items.Position Responsibilities:Fulfill the service per each suite order and Banquet Event Orders (BEO)Maintain all kitchen equipment cleanliness and annual maintenanceShow creativity in designing food presentationsPrepare all recipes as directedMust take direction wellMaintain a safe and clean working environment, following all proper food handling and preparation guidelines as directedPerforms other duties as assignedWork Contacts:Daily contact with the Executive Chef, Premium Services Manager, Catering Staff, and other Arena employeesSupervisory Responsibilities:Assists in the supervision of temporary labor staff when applicablePhysical Effort:This position requires stooping, lifting, and substantial standing and walking. Must be able to lift 30 lbs to the shoulder.Working Conditions:Works primarily in the main kitchen and possibly in the concession stands within the facilityMinimum Qualifications:Must possess previous experience in a sporting venue or banquet facility preparing meals for large eventsMust possess the knowledge of proper food handling and preparation proceduresMust possess the ability to be creative with buffet food presentations and produce a quality product while paying strict attention to detailMust possess the ability to undertake and complete multiple tasksMust possess the ability to stand and walk for substantial periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds up to the shoulderMust possess the ability to work hours as dictated by eventsMust possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, work as a team, and have reliable transportationMust possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectivelyMust practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety trainingMust pass a HireRight Background Check in accordance with company policyReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.Legends Global/Mohegan Sun Arena is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer, and encourages Women, Minorities, Individuals with Disabilities, and protected Veterans to apply.
