Nuclear Medicine Technologist Full Time / Competitive Pay Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and administering radioactive materials for diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results that aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. - Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Perform nuclear medicine scans (e.g., PET, SPECT) to obtain high-quality images of the body's organs and tissues.
- Monitor patients throughout the procedure, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain and operate nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring accurate calibration and functionality.
- Analyze and interpret images to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients on the procedure, providing clear instructions and addressing concerns.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including radiation safety standards.
- Active certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and imaging techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in imaging and documentation.
