Diagnostic Technologist - Outpatient

This is an 8-hour shift position with an 8:00am start time. The role may require scheduling on weekends.

The Diagnostic Technologist in the outpatient setting is responsible for performing imaging procedures, specifically positioning patients for X-ray examinations of the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle. They will operate X-ray equipment, process images, and document results into the PACS system. Additionally, the technologist provides basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse, which includes tasks such as obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for clinician evaluations, and assisting clinicians during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Position patients for X-ray examinations accurately.
• Operate X-ray equipment and process resulting images.
• Document imaging results into the PACS system.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs.
• Assist in the preparation of patients for evaluations by clinicians.
• Ensure examination areas are well-stocked and orderly.
• May float to Main Radiology as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT).
• Current CPR Certification.
• California issued Fluoroscopy Permit.
• Current ARRT licensure.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
• Previous traveler experience is preferred.
