Responsibilities The Technical Field Advisor is responsible for providing technical support and recommendations to our customers regarding the operation, maintenance, and repair of power generation equipment. Key Duties Perform on‑site equipment assessments and inspections to identify issues, recommend repairs or upgrades, and ensure safe and efficient operation. Analyze equipment performance data and test results to diagnose technical problems and determine root causes of issues. Develop detailed scopes of work, recommendations, and cost estimates for repairs or upgrades in coordination with the engineering team. Provide training and advising to plant personnel on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and troubleshooting techniques. Liaise with our engineering department to resolve complex technical issues and coordinate warranty support as needed. Document site visits, inspections, and work completed in the CRM/EAM system, and generate reports as required. Maintain thorough knowledge of OEM equipment specifications, designs, and common issues through ongoing training. Travel regularly (50–75% of time) to customer plant locations throughout the United States. Benefits Team culture focused on building trust and empowering everyone to do their best work. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a closely related technical field is preferred; however, candidates with 8+ years of experience in power generation plant equipment operations, maintenance, or service engineering will be considered in lieu of a degree. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with computer applications, data analysis, and documentation.
