The Cook/Cashier/Prep Cook plays a versatile role in fast food, catering, and casual dining environments. As part of a small team, this position is responsible for preparing food, managing orders, handling cash transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and inventory. The role involves occasional travel for catering events and uses POS systems for payment processing, offering opportunities to grow into cook or chef positions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to menu specifications
- Operate POS systems to handle cashiering duties and process payments
- Provide customer service by taking orders and addressing customer needs
- Track inventory and restock supplies as needed
- Maintain sanitation standards and clean equipment regularly
- Assist with food prep and order organization
- Support setup and service at catering events when required
