Certified Medical Assistant

The Staff Pad is excited to partner with a reputed hospital in Blue Ridge, GA to hire a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join a thriving Orthopedic Clinic team. As a Medical Assistant, you'll help ensure smooth clinic operations through clerical support and exceptional patient care. Schedule: Full-Time | Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Room patients, verify patient information and prepare them for appointments
• Record medical histories, vital signs, and patient information in the EHR
• Assist providers during exams and in-office procedures
• Administer injections, perform EKGs, provide wound care, and conduct required in-office testing
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical equipment
• Schedule appointments, provide financial counseling, and verify insurance information
• Answer and triage calls, assist with referrals, and ensure timely follow-up
• Perform clerical tasks, process paperwork and managing electronic files in AthenaClinicals

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate preferred
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a clinic or medical office experience preferred
• Current MA certification or equivalent experience required; CPR certification required within two weeks of hire
• Ability to follow directions, manage time, and work effectively under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
