Senior Systems Engineer

Senior Systems Engineer – Boeing Company, Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) located in Saint Charles, Missouri. We seek a motivated, talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. This role involves leading and coordinating teams, assessing technical performance, and influencing product direction across multiple Engineering disciplines. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the activities of a team of 3-10 members, managing 5-8 matrixed organizations. Assess the technical performance of the system or system element, product, or service and influence product direction to satisfy technical objectives. Use integrated program planning to align system development efforts with customer needs and business goals and track key performance metrics. Maintain status in EVM, JIRA, Calendar, and related trackers. Manage system risk and maturity by regularly assessing the system’s status throughout the program lifecycle. Apply Boeing Systems Engineering BPIs, BPGs, DPs, SEBPs, ESGP, or similar business processes. Mentor early career engineers and senior engineers transitioning to the Systems Engineering Discipline. Work with division and other experts to steer the development of processes. Contribute to Direct Attack (DA) programs such as JDAM, SDB, MOP, HAAWC and associated derivatives. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent. Typically 14 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Active DoD Security Clearance and experience applying engineering processes and principles. Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation. Experience with systems development and integration, modeling or simulating systems. Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules, and metrics (Earned Value Management, DOORs, CAMEO). Experience with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering. Experience in design/electrical/software engineering & analysis. Experience in Industrial Engineering or Production Engineering. Experience leading teams, projects or tasks. Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship is required. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required. Work Conditions 100% onsite at Saint Charles, Missouri. 1st shift. Drug‑free workplace.
