QUOTING / COST ESTIMATOR

Location: Croton-on-Hudson, NY

Compensation: $52K+ (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quoting / Cost Estimator . This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate's Degree in a technical field preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with estimating software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in both an office and a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to review technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Occasional visits to the production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer blueprints, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate quotations.
• Estimate material, labor, and production costs.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the ERP system.
• Perform cost analysis and prepare detailed quotes.
• Work with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure accurate pricing.
• Obtain pricing from vendors and suppliers as needed.
• Maintain costing, pricing, and quotation records.
• Complete quotations accurately and on time while meeting project deadlines.
