Maintenance Technician

Location: West Lafayette, Indiana      Industry: Trailer manufacturing and metal fabrication

The Maintenance Technician helps keep production running safely and efficiently by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment problems, and supports the upkeep of trucks, forklifts, and other equipment. Working closely with production and management, the technician identifies issues, communicates repair needs, and helps minimize downtime.

What you will do

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.

Perform preventive maintenance and address equipment issues to reduce downtime.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; coordinate repairs or outside service when needed.

Maintain trucks, forklifts, and other equipment as assigned.

Communicate equipment status, repair needs, and priorities with production staff and management.

Follow applicable safety procedures and perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of maintenance and/or production experience, with strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs and 480-volt three phase electrical systems; perform electrical work only within your training and authorization.
• Working knowledge of applicable workplace safety requirements.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, communicate clearly, and complete work on time.
• Valid driver’s license.
