Cardiovascular Center Operating Room Nurse

Scrub and circulate in the Cardiovascular Center operating rooms assigned under the clinical supervision of a Clinical Nursing Director. To rotate shift and accept call as assigned by Clinical Nursing Director. To assist in the teaching activities of the Operating Room.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan. One (1) year of current (within the last year) Operating Room experience as a RN. Ability to work with a non-responsive patient population. Call commitment with 30 minute response time. • CNOR certification
• BSN

Hours: 40 hours

Shift: Rotating position (Day/Evening or Day/Night) - 8 hour shift with weekend and holiday on-call/ shift obligations.

Location: Cardiovascular Center -Operating Room

Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
