Job Description Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rancho Cordova, California. This position involves facilitating patient transfers from hospitals within and outside the organization, conducting patient assessments, vital signs, and managing clinical information. The role requires coordinating with physicians and specialists to secure bed placements and ensuring seamless patient flow in a fast‑paced ICU, emergency department, or transfer center setting. 12‑hour night shifts, every other weekend, with ability to work holidays as needed. Minimum 36 hours per week. Qualifications Valid RN license; current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. Minimum 3 years of ICU, emergency department, or transfer center experience. Critical care assessment skills, strong clinical judgment, proficiency in Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records. Experience with bed management systems such as TeleTracking. Experience with hospital bed management and staffing, strong customer service skills, ability to multitask. Familiarity with multiple computer applications including Cerner, TeleTracking, and Google Workspace. Additional requirements: Completion of a Dyslexia (DYS) exam through UNA within 24‑48 hours prior to acceptance, with verification via screenshot. Typing skills are evaluated through a 1‑minute online typing test. This position involves minimal hands‑on patient care and focuses on facilitating patient transfers and coordination.
