Role Overview: The Assistant Store Manager supports store operations by ensuring a clean, organized environment with a customer-first approach. Under the Store Manager's guidance, they supervise employees, manage merchandise presentation, handle paperwork, and assist with financial tasks to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service, greet customers, and operate cash registers. Assist with employee scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy adherence. Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, display setup, and inventory control. Ensure accurate cash handling, cashier accountability, and store security. Support store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. Qualifications & Skills Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and operational procedures. Proficiency in math, cash register functions, and report generation. Knowledge of cash handling, security policies, and safety practices. Experience & Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. At least one year in retail; six months supervisory experience preferred. Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, and bending. Handling merchandise and equipment regularly. Occasional lifting up to 55 pounds and climbing. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels. Occasional outdoor weather exposure and driving for deposits and meetings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
