WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR

As the Director of Construction, you will be responsible for the implementation of construction guidelines and managing all construction activities involved with new and remodeled locations. You will provide ongoing professional construction assistance to Paris Baguette, supervise the development process, and incorporate process-driven improvements. The ideal candidate will help to achieve our vision of re-establishing the neighborhood bakery cafe as the heart of the community around the world.

KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all facets of the permitting through construction & punch-walk process for new locations including construction and openings.
• Supervise and lead the Construction Team and processes while also managing construction of new locations.
• Manage preferred General Contractors and source others as needed.
• Prepare scope of work, project delivery requirements, guide cost estimates and risk identification as required for projects.
• Track progress of all projects against approved timelines and goals. Report on project status and potential delays and implement action plan to meet objectives for on-time café opening.
• Implement company's business policies, programs, specifications and procedures related to construction of Paris Baguette locations.
• Undertake all reasonable measures to ensure that agreed-to new store build/relocations/remodels are met for franchisee markets.
• Provide construction project management support to the teams in order to ensure new openings and redevelopments are up to corporate standards.
• Keep abreast of bakery/franchise industry practices regarding development plans, construction standards and related cost.
• Maintain liaison with Paris Baguette team in order to identify, cascade, and implement global programs and regional initiatives.
• Other duties, as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, or related field
• At least 5-7 years Construction experience in Commercial/Retail/Hospitality/Entertainment industry
• Progressive leadership experience in a fast paced and rapidly growing retail environment. Must have a proven background in multi-unit restaurant operations leading 100+ locations.
• Experience with a fast growing Franchise company, required.
• Experience with high volume new store openings, required.
• Bakery/Café experience preferred.
• Flexible, adaptive, upbeat, open and visible management style, with a successful record of accomplishment of managing senior operations leaders across a large geographically decentralized portfolio.
