QC Manager

Job Overview APTIM Federal Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to support remediation and site restoration activities at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, San Francisco, CA. The role involves removing environmental and radiological contaminants from impacted property, re‑investigating areas of concern, restoring the shoreline, and constructing seawalls along the San Francisco Bay waterfront. Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor and on‑site project staff to manage and accomplish overall QA/QC objectives. Review all project work plans, including Sampling and Analysis Plans and Health & Safety Plans. Conduct and document the Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow‑Up) for each defined feature of work. Enforce contract compliance, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) on hazards and safety violations. Prepare and submit clear and concise Daily QC reports. Maintain strict adherence to company safety and quality programs. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate environmental discipline. At least 5 years of QC management experience. Current Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM‑C) certification. OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER certification with up to‑date annual 8‑hour refresher. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines. Compensation As of the date of this posting, the estimated annual pay range for this position is $99,500 – $165,500. Compensation depends on factors such as experience, education, key skills, geographic location, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity.
