Senior Quality Technician

With $8.1 billion in revenue for 2025, Clayco specializes in the "art and science of building," providing fast track, efficient solutions for mission critical, industrial, life sciences, power & energy, aviation, commercial, institutional, residential and sports & entertainment related building projects.The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the implementation, oversight and management of all aspects of Quality Control program, for the management and coordination of all documentation performed by testing personnel and any other inspection personnel required by contract. The CQCM role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the work flow process and working with other in-house personnel to include Project Managers, Superintendents, etc, and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.The Specifics of the RoleCoordinate, document, and track preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and provide written reports as described Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard. Create, update and maintain other quality control reports as required.Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project.Conduct pre-construction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and the superintendent at least two days prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality.Track construction deficiencies and ensure timely implementation of, and verify, all approved corrective actions.Coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems, review results, and submit.Maintain the project "as-built" drawings on a daily basis.RequiredBachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction ManagementMinimum of 0-3 years' experienceKnowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniquesAbility to travel and move depending on project locationsAbility to work under pressureAbility to speak clearly and exercise good judgmentSome Things You Should KnowNo other builder can offer the collaborative design-build approach that Clayco does.We work on creative, complex, award-winning, high-profile jobs.The pace is fast!This position is classified as a safety-sensitive role in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
