Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, creating tailored treatment plans for each individual
• Implement physical therapy interventions that prioritize mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to enhance patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge plans, and home exercise regimens
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to facility standards and regulatory mandates
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive treatment

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification preferred
• Specialized certifications (for instance, in neurology or geriatrics) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience is highly desired
