Registered Nurse - Mother Baby / Postpartum

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide expert postpartum nursing care to new mothers and their infants in a fast-paced hospital environment. Deliver comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and parent education while ensuring a safe and compassionate experience for families during the postpartum period.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor vital signs and administer medications according to clinical protocols.
• Educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding practices.
• Manage patient needs, including perineal care and postpartum recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
• Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Adapt quickly to unit policies and respond to changing patient conditions.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1-year recent acute care hospital postpartum or Mother/Baby experience.
• Current BLS certification; NRP preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced environment with flexibility.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and procedures.
