Position Description: BARCA Pier & Wine Bar brings the dynamic energy of Spain’s coastal culture to Old Town Alexandria, offering a dining experience as stunning as its riverfront setting. Located in Robinson Landing, this one-of-a-kind destination features a lively industrial-chic pier anchored by retrofitted shipping containers and a cozy, intimate wine bar perfect for relaxing indoors. Sip handcrafted sangria, Spanish wines, and creative cocktails while savoring award-winning croquettes and Spanish-Mediterranean small plates inspired by flavors from across the region.You’ll create more than great cocktails, you’ll create memorable guest experiences. As a BARCA Pier & Wine Bar Bartender, you’ll bring energy, expertise, and genuine hospitality to every shift while keeping a fast-paced bar running smoothly. From crafting exceptional drinks to building relationships with guests, you’ll set the tone for an experience worth coming back for.Alexandria Restaurant Partners locations include Ada’s on the River, Barca Pier & Wine Bar, Café Tu Tu Tango, Mia’s Italian Kitchen, Palette 22, Joe Theismann’s, The Royal, and Vola’s Dockside Grill & Hi-Tide Lounge. Position Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
Craft and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with speed, accuracy, and consistency.Deliver engaging, personalized hospitality while building genuine connections with guests.Demonstrate strong knowledge of classic and specialty cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and ingredients.Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked bar that is always ready for service.Manage multiple priorities during high-volume shifts while maintaining attention to detail.Accurately process orders, payments, and cash transactions using the POS system.Anticipate guest needs and make thoughtful recommendations based on preferences.Work closely with servers, barbacks, managers, and kitchen teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.Follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines and company policies.Take ownership of product quality, presentation, cleanliness, and the overall guest experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of bartending experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant or bar environment.Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and responsible alcohol service.Proven ability to work quickly and confidently in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing hospitality or quality.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.Strong multitasking, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.Comfortable using POS systems and accurately handling cash and payments.A team player who brings professionalism, energy, accountability, and a positive attitude to every shift.Must meet all applicable age and alcohol service requirements.Must to be able to speak and understand English.
