Registered Nurse Orthopedic

Job Summary:
The Orthopedic Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries. This role involves responding to life-threatening situations, delivering personalized patient care, and educating patients and families on treatment and prevention.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care by applying knowledge from nursing education and clinical experience in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations, implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Organize patient care delivery through prioritization, delegation, and ongoing evaluation, communicating with multidisciplinary providers.
• Educate patients and their families on post-surgical care, rehabilitation, and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress within established guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with travel, licensing, and onboarding regulations, including completing all necessary modules and documentation within specified timeframes.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid state or compact nursing license at the time of application.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of current orthopedic nursing experience.
• Hold current BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing musculoskeletal conditions and post-operative care.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environment and work effectively in night shift (4x12 hours).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize patient needs efficiently.
