Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Medical Surgical Unit is a 28-bed facility that caters to a diverse patient population, including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke care. The role requires dedication to patient-centered care, quality delivery, and a commitment to safety for positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Utilize clinical pathways and patient education to enhance patient care delivery.
• Demonstrate effective communication utilizing SBAR and interdisciplinary communication methods.
• Exhibit strong time management skills to enhance team performance.
• Participate in lifelong learning through certification and continued education.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment focused on holistic patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of straight Medical Surgical experience required.
• Trauma Level II or I experience is required.
• Michigan RN license is required; verification from LARA and Nursys is necessary.
• BLS certification required.
