Registered Nurse

Description Registered Nurse (RN) Department: Nursing Reports To: Director of Nursing / Nursing Leadership Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate nursing care to clients receiving treatment for substance use and/or mental health conditions. The RN is responsible for monitoring client health and safety, administering medications, providing nursing interventions, and working closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Key Responsibilities Perform nursing assessments and monitor clients' physical and behavioral health. Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the RN scope of practice. Monitor clients for withdrawal symptoms, medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition. Carry out physician and authorized provider orders. Respond appropriately to medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health emergencies. Provide client education regarding medications, health conditions, recovery, and wellness. Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Maintain required medication, infection control, incident, hospital, and other nursing logs. Follow medication management and controlled substance procedures. Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries. Communicate changes in client condition to appropriate medical, nursing, and clinical staff. Collaborate with physicians, providers, therapists, case managers, and other members of the treatment team. Participate in treatment planning, staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities. Follow infection control, workplace safety, and emergency procedures. Comply with facility policies and all applicable federal, state, licensing, and accreditation requirements. Perform other nursing duties as assigned and within scope of practice. Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for the state in which services are provided. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred. Current CPR/BLS certification. Behavioral health, substance use treatment, detox, residential, or psychiatric nursing experience preferred. Knowledge of withdrawal management and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) preferred. Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and crisis-response skills. Must meet applicable background screening and employment requirements. Schedule & Work Environment Behavioral health and/or substance use treatment environment. May work with clients experiencing withdrawal, mental health symptoms, or behavioral health crises. Must be available for assigned shifts, which may include days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Requirements Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts). Positions Available: Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN (as needed). Weekend Availability: Weekend shifts are required. PRN Minimum Commitment: Must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month , including weekend availability.
