The main responsibility of the Warehouse Order Picker is to efficiently and accurately select items in the Warehouse to be delivered to our stores. In addition, the Warehouse Order Picker will also be responsible for confirming daily deliveries and stocking items in their correct area.Our Values:Service: We will treat every customer like a beloved family member or friend and find a way to say "yes" to our customers. We will be quick to respond to our customers and use "Red Truck Service" when additional assistance is needed.Work ExperienceDuties/Responsibilities:Serve customers throughout the store locations while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their businessDaily review of orders from each store in order to accurately select items for deliveryPick and palletize product; ensuring pallet is wrapped, labeled and free from cross contaminationDaily operation of forklift and pallet jackEnsure that all inbound and outbound freight is inspected for damages and refrigerated merchandise is at the correct temperature before receiving or shippingAssist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the WarehouseMaintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and proceduresAssist with all other duties as neededQualifications:Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Warehouse equipmentCurrent certification in order to operate forklift, pallet jack, and rider. (Company will compensate if needed)Prior warehouse experience is preferredAbility to work in different temperature zones, including cold environments (i.e., coolers, freezers)Strong sense of team – ability to anticipate the needs of the teamStrong knowledge of local and state health, sanitation and safety regulationsAbility to work at a fast paced and efficient mannerAbility to quickly adapt to changing conditions, priorities and circumstancesAbility to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressureAbility to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervisionExcellent time management, prioritization and organization skillsExcellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 75 pounds
