Budget Analyst

This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Budget Analyst for the Director for Strategy, Plans, and Resources. Salary Ranges are the following unless statutory/regulatory rates prevail. For the Dahlgren, VA Location: $46,610.00 to $111,087.00. You may qualify at the NH-02 Broadband Level if you fulfill the following qualifications: Qualifications One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-01/GS-04 grade level in the Federal service and must meet 2 of the 3 specialized experiences listed below: Research and analyze information related to the federal budget process to support budget formulation and execution. Experience with budgeting requirements by allocating, monitoring, and analyzing budgets in compliance with statutory and regulatory guidance. Apply the DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE), fiscal law, policies, regulations, principles, standards, and procedures to financial management activities. Successfully completed a full 4‑year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor’s degree, in an accredited college or university. Has some specialized experience as described in item A but less than one year; and has more than one year but less than two years of education as described in item B. Compute the percentage of the requirements that you meet; the total must equal at least 100%. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations such as professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, and social groups. Volunteer work provides critical competencies, knowledge, and skills that translate directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
