Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring BLS, ACLS certifications and prior progressive care or ICU experience.

Job Details

• Work in the 4th floor Progressive Care Unit (ICU Stepdown) of a Level II trauma hospital,
• Adult patient population with diagnoses including CHF, detox, stroke, NSTEMI/STEMI, neuro conditions, COPD, diabetes, and sepsis,
• 11-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio,
• Uses IV pumps, EKG monitors, SCDs, and bladder scanners,
• Meditech EHR system used,
• Night shift schedule (7p-7a) with every other weekend required,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• May be required to float to med/surg for patient load or 1:1 safety needs,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (State or Compact) currently in hand,
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA certifications required),
• 2 years of experience preferred, ideally in progressive care or intensive care,
• Skills required: EKG monitoring, patient assessment, wound care, IV management, and strong communication,
• RN degree required,
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care nursing services to adult patients with complex cardiac, neuro, and medical conditions,
• Scrubs of any color accepted; hoodies, open-toed shoes, hats, and offensive clothing not permitted,
• Weekly orientation offered,
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate,
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months,
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
