Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer - Jersey City

Salary: $184,283.4 - 203,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline, plus seven years of experience in the job offered or a related IT role within financial services.
• We need seven years of experience using Java/J2EE to design, build, troubleshoot, and decompose technical problems into software solutions.
• We require seven years of experience implementing REST APIs and scalable microservices with open-source Java frameworks such as Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, MongoDB, and Spring Boot, along with design patterns.
• We need seven years of experience building real-time data streaming solutions and managing messaging or event-driven communication with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, WebSocket, Apache Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
• We require seven years of experience working with Oracle databases and database tools including DB2 and SQL.
• We need seven years of experience building applications that expose components as micro frontends for web and mobile use, using Node.js, React, and Angular.
• We require seven years of experience using Agile methods, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices, as well as development tools including GIT/Bitbucket, Splunk, JUnit, SonarQube, JIRA, Maven, and Veracode.

• We consult with internal business groups to deliver application software development services and technical support, including more complex assignments.
• We gather requirements and prepare BRDs and SRDs, applying strong knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• We review test plans and test data, and coordinate technical design, development, and documentation for cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
• We analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and system interfaces.
• We coordinate coding, testing, implementation, and documentation to help ensure application performance targets are achieved.
• We write well-designed, testable, efficient code and produce flowcharts, layouts, and supporting documentation to meet solution needs.
• We maintain software functionality and currency, actively participate in code reviews, and apply security and privacy principles.
• We execute the full software development lifecycle, develop verification plans and quality assurance procedures, and troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• We provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to current systems and platforms.
• We leverage existing products and functionality, promote reuse, and work with other engineers to apply best practices and improve technology.
• We collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and fellow engineers to deliver effective solutions.
• We compile documentation prepared by senior developers describing procedures used in the system.
• We use learning tools such as Pluralsight to complete recommended and aspirational development goals.
