What You'll Be Doing

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Required Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Virginia.
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required, or the ability to acquire them within 90 days.
