Part Time Direct Care Aide Job Location: This position will be located at 2041 E. What you’ll do: Transporting individuals to appointments and activities in state vehicles. Administering medications and taking vitals. Assisting individuals with daily living and hygiene tasks such as feeding, bathing, shaving, dressing and other related tasks. Observing, reporting and recording changes in the physical condition, behavior response and emotional status of individuals. Participating in activities with the individuals such as swimming, shopping, ball games, picnics, going to the movies and other activities. Reporting to work on time and as scheduled. Requires heavy lifting and the ability to stand for extended periods of time. Maximum of 20 hours per week. Not to exceed 999 hours a year. Other duties as assigned. All you’ll need for success: Minimum Qualifications: No experience necessary and training is provided. Must be 18 years old. Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Pass a background screening. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work with individuals with physical or mental illness, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and/or the geriatric populations. Ability to learn first aid, emergency treatments and behavioral interventions and techniques, as trained. Ability to successfully pass Level One Medication Aide certification. Ability to prepare and maintain records, charts and reports. Must be 18 years old. Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Pass a background screening.
