Job Description: Reviews and evaluates information on mortgage loan documents to determine if buyer, property, and loan conditions meet bank and regulatory standards. Approves or rejects loan application, or requests additional information. Establishes terms and conditions of an approved loan and reviews with member. Markets the Credit Union's mortgage lending program to companies and individuals within the real estate community. Cross-sells other Credit Union services. Supervises and manages the work and productivity of the department specialist(s) Evaluates acceptability of loan on secondary mortgage markets. Keeps informed of current trends in mortgage lending and market factors affecting mortgage lending. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Three years to five years of similar or related experience. A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Must have good communication skills; 10-key calculator and keyboard skills required. This position requires approximately 30% travel time.
