Dietary Supervisor

Dietary SupervisorHamilton Grove Healthcare & Rehabilitation is looking for a qualified Dietary Supervisor to oversee the dietary department each evening to prepare and serve food to the residents in our facilities. You will supervise and deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary condition in cooking and dining premises. The ideal candidate will have at a minimum 1-year experience as a supervisor or manager in a kitchen setting. They must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.The hours for the position are 12:30pm-8:00pm with every other weekend commitment.CompensationBase Rate: $19.00 Benefits: Our employees are offered a generous benefits package including health, dental, vision, matched 401k as well as PTO time.ResponsibilitiesSupervise the dietary department in its entiretyOversee meal preparationDeliver dishes and trays at designated timesTake down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.Discard leftovers and take out garbageClean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverwareStock ingredients and monitor inventoryAssist in keeping track of expenses and menu planningHelp maintain kitchen equipment and appliancesSkillsAt least 1 year's experience in a management position and have prior dietary experienceFurther experience in customer service will be appreciatedKnowledge of sanitation and safety guidelinesSkilled in preparing meals according to instructionsApt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliancesFriendly with good communication skillsGood physical condition and staminaCertification in food services is a plus
