Therapy Team Leader

The Therapy Team Leader assists the Director of Therapy Operations in day-to-day operations of a therapy team or discipline. The position requires effective supervisory skills, good communication for interdepartmental relationships, and competency in licensed discipline evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment. Responsibilities Delegate and supervise tasks of therapist assistants and technicians. Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training, and communications to ensure adequate coverage for patient treatments. Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs. Provide patient care in licensed discipline 80%-90% of work hours. Create an environment that supports the hospital’s mission, holds staff accountable, motivates staff, and fosters continuous improvement. Measure, assess, and lead continuous improvement initiatives for the department. Develop staff and mentor team members to improve clinical skills and overall performance.
