About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, IV certification Must-Have: - IV start skills - Labor & delivery (L&D) experience - EPIC experience Description: Provide care for postpartum patients and their newborns in a family-centered environment. Facilitate discharge teaching for parents. Perform assessments and administer medications as required. Monitor patient conditions and respond to any changes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Assist with breastfeeding instructions and encourage bonding between mother and baby. Ensure proper care and follow-up for both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Perform necessary procedures, including IV starts and blood product administration. Support patients with newborn care and education. Participate in the floating requirements to similar acuity units if necessary. Adhere to established protocols and maintain accurate patient records. Comply with all safety and quality standards. Engage in continued education and professional development.
