Sous Chef

Windham is looking to hire two Sous Chefs to join our team. This is a great opportunity to come on board during the summer, learn how we run our kitchens, and be ready to go for the winter season. We are a luxury four season destination where hospitality is the core of our world. You could be working at either The Grill or the renowned Cin!Cin!, both fine dining outlets, each with their own style and pace. There is room to grow and find your place in either space. This is an on-site role, and summer and fall season housing is available for the right candidate. If you're ready, join us and fall in love with Windham. We can't wait to meet you! These roles will ideally start in July or August. Pay: $60,000-$70,000 per year Job Duties Follow food safety and sanitation standards Prep, cook, and maintain recipe consistency Set up and check the line for service Operate and clean kitchen equipment Help manage inventory, deliveries, and storage Reduce waste and keep the kitchen organized Support events as needed Requirements Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent work experience. Supervisory experience, preferably in Food & Beverage. Strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of food safety and health regulations. Strong familiarity with commercial kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment. Must be able to give and follow directions thoroughly and accurately. Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy, and crowded work environment. Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces. Ability to climb stairs and ladders. Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly. Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a premier guest experience. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.
