Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is critical for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Work collaboratively with emergency physicians and healthcare team members.
• Float to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as needed.
• Handle approximately 35 patients per day, adhering to a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1.
• Conduct necessary interventions for varied patient diagnoses and critical situations.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (start time may flex).
• Scheduled hours: 36 hours per week.
• Weekends: Every other weekend commitment required.
• Holidays: Must be available to work on holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room or ICU setting.
• Valid certifications:
  
  
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and make quick, effective decisions.

Additional Information

This position requires the ability to float to various locations within the region, including other facilities as necessary. Orientation specific to the Emergency Department will be provided. There may be additional compensations when floating to facilities outside of the primary location.
