Medical Receptionist Role Overview:

The Medical Receptionist operates a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintains long distance call logs. Take and distribute accurate messages. Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintain visitor logs, alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee. Respond to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as our location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and email address. Additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages. Limit decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and work under close management or within established practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment

• Minimum of 1-year professional experience as a Medical Receptionist in 'front-office' direct patient care contact

• Experience with MS Outlook

• Basic Computer knowledge

• Experience with HEDIS

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills

• Willingness to learn and be cross trained in other roles based on business need

Preferred Qualification

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records

• Previous experience in a geriatric setting

• Excellent Customer Service Skill

• Empathy

• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving patient experiences and care

Medical Receptionist Working hours:

Scheduled 40 hours per week

Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM

Local travel may be required; Mileage is reimbursed

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$38,000 - $45,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
